Ehson Hashemian

Ehson Hashemian is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in southern California. Hashemian was one of the founding members of the band Young the Giant (formerly The Jakes) as keyboardist.

His credits include the Young the Giant single “Cough Syrup,” which is certified Gold in the US, Canada, and Italy. The song reached No.3 on the US Alternative Songs Billboard Chart. It was also featured in the remake of the film Fright Night and covered on TV shows Glee and The Voice. Others have been featured on MTV’s The Real World: Brooklyn and A&E’s The Beast.

Hashemian is currently writing on a number of projects, including his solo project Backwards Forwards, which released its first LP Still Life in February of 2014.
