Alongside her brother and hype man J2K of Flosstradamus, Chicago-born rap musician Kid Sister took the Windy City’s music scene by storm, leaving a trail of dance floor mayhem.
Her success continued to grow as she toured with Kanye West and DJ A-Trak. 2006 found Kid Sister rocking various shows from her hometown to Paris, including an appearance at Pitchfork Music Festival. The media responded favorably with features on MTV, Pitchfork, i-D Magazine, XLR8R, The New York Times, Billboard and the cover of URB’s “Next 1000” issue, among others.
Building on her early success, Kid Sister hit the studio and released two singles on the Fool’s Gold label (“Control” and “Pro Nails”). Frequent international touring ensued, in addition to an appearance at Coachella, a sold out show at SXSW and a US tour with her labelmates.
Kanye West also took notice, adding a verse to her “Pro Nails” single (which he released on his “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” mixtape) and appearing in the music video which quickly became an MTV favorite.
Kid Sister released her long-anticipated debut album, Ultraviolet, on October 6th 2009 on Downtown Records. The album includes production by some of the most sought after, cutting edge producers working today including A-Trak, Rusko, Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso, Sinden, XXXChange, Brian Kennedy, Herve, Yuksek and DJ Gant-Man.
In late 2011 Kid Sister released a mixtape entitled Kiss Kiss .
