Michael Milosh, known professionally as Milosh, is a Canadian electronic musician, vocalist, and one half of the indie-R&B duo Rhye. As well as being an electronic musician, he is a classically trained cellist, having started at age three, as well as a jazz aficionado.
Milosh formed the band Rhye with Robin Hannibal and released their debut album Woman in March 2013. Their album was preceded by the digital release of singles "Open" and "The Fall" online without much detail, which led to much speculation about the band. In June 2013, the album was long-listed for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize.
Milosh describes himself as wanting to make music that moves its listeners, whether it be “good, bad or sad”. The Los Angeles-based record label Plug Research released two of Milosh’s albums, including 2004’s You Make Me Feel and 2006’s Meme. Milosh also contributed the track “Then it Happened” on the Ghostly International/Williams Street album Ghostly Swim, released in 2008.
