As one of the world’s most regulated art forms, collaboration is essential to ensuring the health and sustainability of the business of songwriting.
Downtown’s executives sit on the boards of the National Music Publisher’s Association (NMPA) in the United States and the Music Publisher’s Association (MPA) in the United Kingdom, among others. These trade organizations exist to safeguard and promote the interests of music publishers and the writers they represent, to the government, the music industry, the media, and the public.
Downtown lends its voice to the working groups in technology, advocating for the benefits of songwriters nationally and internationally.
