Shinichi Osawa

Japanese track-master Shinichi Osawa is one of the leading names in Japanese dance music. After Osawa established himself through acid jazz and deep house outfit ‘Mondo Grosso’ in the mid-90s, he collaborated with and produced for artists like Bob Sinclair and Fatboy Slim.

In 2007, Osawa released his electro house album The One under the moniker of ‘Shinichi Osawa’ rather than ‘Mondo Grosso’. “Our Song” was the initial single released in Japan, followed by the Chemical Brothers cover “Star Guitar,” featuring the vocal talents of Brooklyn’s hotly-tipped Au Revoir Simone.

Shinichi has created remixes for artists such as Snow Patrol, Soulwax, and most recently remixed Digitalism’s “Pogo”, Felix da Housecat’s “Radio”, Alex Gopher’s “Aurora”, Cazal’s “Poor Innocent Boy”, VanShe’s “Kelly” and The Whip’s “Blackout”. He has received widespread support from a range of DJs including Zane Lowe, Eddy Temple-Morris, Annie Mac, and Pete Tong.
