Downtown x SXSW

Cautious Clay, Yola, The Brummies, White Denim, Phony Ppl, Nikki Lane, and Erin Rae are among Downtown's clients involved in various showcases and panels at South by Southwest this year — collectively participating in at least 15 events at the famed Austin, Texas conference and festival.

Between performances at TIDAL X BROOKLYN, The Soul Train Awards on BET, NPR's Tiny Desk, and a recent sold out show at Irving Plaza in New York City, Cautious Clay has been turning heads. With his forthcoming Table of Context EP set to release March 27, Cautious will be involved in four different events at SXSW this year, as detailed below.

The U.K.'s self-described "Queen of Country Soul," Yola was named one of Rolling Stone's "artists you need to know." Produced by Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, her debut album Walk Through Fire is a contemporary fusion of classic genres. Yola will be involved in three separate events for SXSW.

Brand new Downtown signees The Brummies have been busy on the road touring. The Birmingham, Alabama band is also representing at South by Southwest this year, with a few shows lined up as well.

Brooklyn's own Phony Ppl will hit the stage at a couple of SXSW events too. The five-piece band recently visited NPR's coveted Tiny Desk to perform a medley of songs from their albums Yesterday's Tomorrow and mō'zā-ik.
