As with many musicians, Mercy John’s music has been heavily
influenced by the place in which he grew up. Both his childhood
experiences and his Dutch countryside roots have made him the person
he is today. "My entire childhood I watched out over the fields and played in the woods nearby. I was raised, rather protected, far from the big world outside."
After playing in several bands across different genres, Mercy John chose
to pursue his own career as a singer-songwriter in 2016. This lead to the
highly acclaimed solo debut album This Ain’t New York. After touring
the country in 2017 and 2018 with artists like JW Roy and Danny Vera,
Mercy John will release his second album in 2019 called Let It Go Easy.
